Our Background
Forensic DocExam Ireland is led by Michael Moore BSc(Hons), MCSFS, CSFS Dip., a seasoned Forensic Document Examiner and Handwriting Expert with over 25 years of experience.
Michael is one of the most experienced Document Examiners in Ireland, having worked on thousands of cases in the last 25 years. He retired as head of the Garda Síochána’s Document & Handwriting Examination Section in 2016, and set up Forensic Docexam Ireland Limited, to provide consultancy expertise in the area of Suspect Document Analysis and Handwriting & Signature Verification.

With extensive experience in forensic document examination, Michael Moore has been an active member of several European Union working groups, including:
EDEWG (European Document Experts Working Group): Member from 1995 to 2022 and a Steering Committee member from 2006 to 2012.
ENFHEX (European Network of Forensic Handwriting Experts): Member from 1996 to 2022.
Europol’s Forgery of Money Working Group: Member from 1998 to 2012.
